Custom basketball uniforms are available off-the-shelf or custom designed and made-to-measure, in a wide range of colors and individual styles.
While sports clubs and teams that play amateur basketball don’t have to follow strict international or national basketball rules, custom basketball uniforms worn by clubs team usually do follow the general rules. Many Georgia clubs also have their own club uniform and dress code policies. This is to ensure that all club members and those playing in teams wear exactly the same custom basketball uniforms.
Generally basketball jerseys for teams will be a solid color back and front, and shorts are often the same color as the jerseys. The player’s number will be incorporated front and back, though it will be a lot higher (at least 20 cm) on the back than on the front (usually at least 10 cm). The name of the club will commonly appear above the player’s number. Shorts and socks will be the same color, even if the shorts are a different color to the jerseys.
Clubs often have their own designs for team players, for warm-up, training and carnivals, as well as custom uniforms or specified items for coaches and team managers attending games, particularly when club teams participate in state championships.
Many clubs also have optional items for everyone, whether they play in basketball teams or not. So in addition to the custom basketball uniforms that identify their team players, and shirts, jackets and so on worn by coaches and managers, club members may be offered club tracksuits and club shirts.
While custom basketball uniforms and other custom basketball club clothing identifies club members, they also increase camaraderie and team spirit.
