We play so many sports in the USA, particularly team sports. So it isn’t surprising that we’ve come up with custom uniforms that are appropriate for all the different types. Within each sport there are also custom uniforms for different levels including little league, youth teams, college and high school players, and all the major leagues too.
While schools and clubs have some flexibility in terms of what they wear when playing sport, when it comes to professional teams, there are very strict codes and rules that determine what players should wear. In fact, most of them also govern what coaches, managers, and various other officials are allowed to wear.
Examples of Different Custom Uniforms Required for Different Sports
Popular sports in the US and in other parts of the world have their own rules. These explain how the game must be played as well as sporting equipment that has to be used, and the custom uniforms that should be worn. Shoes and boots required for various sports are also different, and specified.
Baseball is just one of the many sports that has custom uniforms for anyone and everyone playing the game. All players on teams have to wear identical custom uniforms with each player’s number displayed on the back according to a specific size. Leagues often include player’s surnames on the back of their tops too.
Basketball players wear custom uniforms with tops that have a team number on the front and back. Shorts and socks should all be the same color, though not necessarily the same color as the tops.
Both baseball and basketball teams usually wear lighter color – often white – custom uniforms when they are playing at home.
American football players in teams all have their names and numbers on custom uniforms. Additionally, they wear protective items including shoulder pads. Clubs that compete in NFL games must get team colors approved every year.
Soccer is another popular sport that requires colors that distinguish the different teams. A less aggressive and physical game than American football, soccer gear does not include face masks, mouth guards, and other protective clothing like helmets and padding. Like baseball and basketball, home teams generally wear white, and numbers must be clearly visible on the front and back of the jersey.
